For example, if you really like to live in a city environment but you see a house with all you want in a rural area, you have to consider whether that particular house is worth sacrificing proximity to a city. When living or visiting the Annapolis area there will always be plenty to do.
Annapolis has more 18th century structures standing today than any other city in US. Should you decide to make Downtown Annapolis your home, one of the buildings that you would be in close proximity to is the State House, where right now a good deal a work is being done to restore the dome. It is 2011 and it was recently discovered that none of the origin shingles on the State House dome had been replaced since it was constructed in the late 18th century. In addition to that, there were handmade nails holding the shingles in place. These nails were of a variety that was not made after the 18th century.
Homes in Annapolis’s historic district have likely undergone changes since they were first built but like the State House, they represent a kind of craftsmanship that is not easy to find these days.
