The Edgewater Maryland area has flourished with an enormous addition of new homes, apartments and commercial enterprises. There are upscale restaurants, steak houses and million dollar waterfront homes. There are small communities dotted along central avenue running east from Solomons Island Road. Many of the communities started as beach front, summer and vacation homes, later becoming great housing options for all types of buyers.

Some of my favorite areas are Loch Haven, South River Colony, the beach communities of Turkey Point, Beverly and Triton Beach. These water privileged communities offer a great range in home values from the affordable to the multi-million dollar waterfront properties. Edgewater is a great place to call home. You are away from the congestion of Annapolis, Washington DC and Baltimore but yet close enough to commute to any of those areas for work or shopping. Recently the multiple listing service showed 171 detached homes actively for sale in Edgewater. They range in price from $120,000 to $5 million. With such diverse pricing there is something for everyone in Edgewater.
