Epping Forest Community was established in 1926 just after neighboring community of Sherwood Forest. It is a private, gated community with clubhouse, located in Annapolis Maryland. the CapitalNewspaper described Epping Forest as a “Magical Severn community where … roads wind around large trees and steep hills. No bulldozers have come here to flatten out the earth for easy access. Vines cling to trees and make some of the narrow thoroughfares look like green tubes sloping down to the Severn River. Look closely at the encroaching greenery and you almost expect to see a gnome or two scamper across the roads” Epping is picturesque like Sherwood and Downs on the Severn, two neighboring communities. I love to ride my bike from the Downs into both Sherwood and Epping Forest because they are so private and quite.
