Riva Trace is a community that I’ve always really liked. Its in a great location, it’s pristine and it has a large variety of home types. Less than 1 mile to the entrance to Rt. 50 west, Riva Trace is a commuters dream come true. You will find very little congestion as you turn right out of the community onto Riva Road and just three traffic lights later you turn left on Rt. 50 west. From there you either head west to the beltway and Washington DC or you shoot off to the right on 97 toward BWI airport and Baltimore or Rt. 32 toward Columbia.

Riva Trace is pristine. I drove through the other day into each of its enclaves and every single property and home looked well cared for. No junk in the yards, no poorly cared for homes and the streets were all clean, neat and tidy. It’s always looked this good. Some of the first homes there, built by Winchester Homes were built in 1989 and the community grew from there.

Today there are over 550 homes within this community. Its broken into enclaves like; Winters Chase, Autumn Chase,Summer Chase and the condos on summer view way. Each section has different home types. There are single family homes, several different styles of Town homes or duplex style homes and even some very attractive condominiums in Summer Chase community. The homes are modern for 1990′s construction, they are spacious and the owners must love it there as very few homes transfer each year.

The newest and last addition to the community were built by Ryan Homes just a few years ago. Prices range from from the low to mid 200k range for the condos and a few of the original Town homes in Winters Chase to well over 500k for the single family homes. You can enjoy the community tennis courts, extensive walking areas and access to water on Gingerville Creek all from within the community.
